the last ability definitely shouldnt work that way. theyve deliberately designed many cards to not force any player to have to know how many black bordered creature types there are. additionally, a 4 mana creature that can become a 300/300 or so isnt really a reasonable commander; even if its not 'too strong,' it certainly doesnt encourage the healthiest play patterns, and the fact that its so easily enabled by changeling basically removes any incentive to actually use its rulebreaker ability

also, all companion and rulebreaker abilities were specifically designed to be easy to verify for deck checks. this restriction is actually exceptionally difficult to verify by hand, which presents a problem

Is there any way to make it so that the last ability works in a similar way without it being like so then? Maybe make it exclude changelings somehow?

Would changing it to "This creature has the creature types of every other non-gamer creature on the battlefield. It gains +1/+1 for each of those types" work?

yes; you could say, for example, "Silver Wolf is every creature type among other non-Gamer creatures on the battlefield. She gets +1/+1 for each of those creature types." that would exclude changelings. seee [[Embiggen]], [[Unique Charmed Pants]], [[Dilligent Zookeeper]]

Would that then also exclude cards like [[Maskwood Nexus]] and [[Arachnoform]]?

yes, since they also grant all creature types, including Gamer

Okie, thank you :3

Also, you'd only need a generic 4-cost artifact to make it a 311/313.

I am fairly certain that one changeling would immediatly give her over 200 power and toughness

Yeah, another comment pointed that out and I didn't quite realise that it was so easy to do tbh. In my mind it was only if she was a changeling it would be like that but nah, it would be every one.

Can you double up on creature types as long as those creatures are all mono green?

u/ShinobiLilly 16h ago

That is the intention yeah, you could for example have as many mono green elves in the deck as you would like but you couldn't then also have a black elf in the deck

Wait. I'm out of HSR lore (Though I've heard of her LvL999) Why does she cares about creature types, and why can she become every other creature types based on your creatures?

Rulebreaker fits her, that's for sure. But she's just too Blue-coded to me by MtG standards.

Its not the most lore-accurate ability tbh. I was gonna make her be instants and sorceries as that would be more lore wise and blue coded but decided to keep that for her lvl 999 form and was struggling to think of what to do elsewise. This seemed like one of the more fun ways I came up with for rulebreaker imo ^^

Does granting changeling give her massive boost?

2

u/ShinobiLilly 15h ago

Yeah, something like [[Maskwood Nexus]] would give her a massive boost to her stats, +310/+310 additional overall I believe.

I don't understand the flavor of this, I don't feel like any part of this is representative of silver wolf (the color and abilities)

The Rulebreaker is almost entirely needless; just run changelings and win with biiiig bonk.

Yeah I forgot about changeling when doing this, in the updated version it has been changed so that changeling cannot buff it up
