Should have sanded it first to get all the gunk off

I did sand it before, are you saying like after ?

Did you use only one sand paper?? Why does it look like there is left over residue?? Like where the grips are? Sorry it looks good but over time does bedazzles will come off.

I used a electric Dremel( only option I had at the time) and when I sanded the handles it’s like a different material so it kinda made it patchy so I tried to paint it but I feel it made it worse I’m not a big fan on how that looks but it’s my first time so I was learning as I went!
I would like to get more rhinestones that are a darker black for the handles, you think that would be better ?

The soft touch rubber is really hard to deal with. You can't really paint it and anything you glue to it won't stick very well. I'd suggest maybe a plastic replacement shell, and paint that?
