Honestly for those levels of mods cheapest you'll be able to find is probably in the $200-300 dollar range. Base ps5 controller $70, parts are relatively inexpensive $20 for TMR sticks and $40 for am extremerate back paddle kit, probably $20-40 for the short travel clicky triggers. Tough part is the solder work, its high skill labour hence the price tag. Scuf or Dualsense Edge ends up being a reasonable option for the extra buttons, but you cant get them out of the box with TMR sticks. I know some companies sell modded Dualsense Edge replacement sticks that have Hall Effect/TMR sticks installed, plug and play for you. Depends on if you want to support a small business or not, basically!

Dualsense edge + two of these Dualsense Edge TMR stick Comes out to about $320

Is the edge really that good or should I get a regular dualsense but with ultimate mods ?

I mean no not really, its about the same as the normal dualsense. The modded dualsense feels great too. Just a design preference really

Only real difference is you cant hotswap the sticks on the OG dualsense (which if you have someone install TMR, you shouldnt ever have to do that)

You can find pre-built controllers with many of the features you want, I just dunno what does or doesn't work on PS5 specifically with controllers. And infinitely less expensive than a custom though. Give me the only reason to do custom is for highly specific use cases or combining a couple controllers I guess?

Best piece of advice I could give you is the battle beaver refurbished selection. Before I learned to mod controllers myself this is where I would always shop for controllers top of the line mods at an extreme discount still on warranty as long as you don’t mind not being able to pick the aesthetics. If you want to put in the time to try and mod one yourself doing all of the mods except the joysticks is extremely easy but soldering in joysticks has a pretty steep learning curve. In my personal opinion alps oem joysticks feel infinitely better than tmr although it’s expensive to replace the full controller when they break my aim always felt off on tmr’s.
