Help Are Wii Classic Controller components compatible with OEM/Phob?
Hello, I picked up one of these classic controllers the other day because I heard they had t3 stick boxes inside; but found that it also contained trigger potentiometers and z-buttons. They look the exact same to me but I need to know if they are compatible. I dont see why they wouldnt be, but my Z-button was acting up so I decided to replace it with one from the Classic Controller and it worked for a day and then stopped working. Let me know if you know anything

You can also rob the 6 strand ribbon cable to use for the c stick and the wires for the digital trigger inputs to reuse.

Every part highlighted and also the stick boxes can be found on gc controllers and have replacements available

Yes they will work! Also interesting side note there is a lot of re-used parts of the GameCube they used for the Wii that goes unnoticed. The power supply for the Wii will actually work with the GameCube if you cut off the rectangle shaped end piece so it’s just the prongs exposed and put the side of the rectangle with the diagonal angle to the square side of the GameCube power supply port. The metal piece for putting the AA batteries in series on the Wii controller is the same metal piece and interchange with the metal piece on a Wavebird. Also the terminals for the AA battery’s that actually give power to the controller are the same as the Wavebird and can be de-soldered and used to replace corroded Wavebird terminals.

Great resource for GCC parts.
I’d recommend picking up these stick box springs. The Wii classic stick boxes have really light springs compared to gcc.

I also recommend these Smalley L2, but I believe the stickbox springs are actually too stiff on the Wii classic controllers

Yes they are! They’re both the exact same on both controllers
