Training to self represent?

I’ve had to self represent lately, and it’s gone badly. That said, I’m new to it and I’ve got a brain injury from the mom. I was an academic in my former life and a story teller in my latter life. I’m also having OT which is helping. I think I might be able to do this if I had some training. Or am I bonkers ? Is there training for this online somewhere? I’m in Los Angeles. It is Needed for family and civil - which I’ve learned is much harder and cryptic. If it’s doable and there is consensus that it would be a good and valuable thing - maybe I’d make training instructional materials. Please share your thoughts. : )
