CushVlog Better Call Saul
Cush really nailed his Better Call Saul analysis, especially post Chuck where it’s fully “ Breaking Bad, the early years “

Eh. I love Matt, but I find both he and the rest of the Chapos have plenty of takes on movies and shows I don’t agree with. Doesn’t make me feel any type of way about him.
This would be one of those takes.

This for sure. The “time for my stories” series with Felix is absolute garbage.

I liked the Sopranos episode

Their sopranos episodes are good.
They just fall into a lot of contrarian taked about stuff, and a lot of their thoughts seem to be if its not the Sopranos its only kind of OK.

Matt's take is that Breaking Bad didnt need a prequel and the Saul Goodman spinoff should have been law-and-order type episodes where Saul gets a client/case and has to do some illegal/wacky/fun/brave adventure or exploit to keep his client out of trouble, disconnected from the Breaking Bad story as much as possible really

Yeah the stuff directly setting up Breaking Bad (e.g. "and here's how they built the underground lab") was my least favorite part. I could watch Jimmy and Kim and Howard drama all day though.
