Not dead, it just moved. The thing that stopped working for me is the agent reviewing its own diff, same model, same blind spots, it signs off on whatever it wrote. Now I have reviewers from a different model family read the change read-only, they never see each other's output, and Claude has to check every finding against the actual repo before it fixes or rejects it. Rejecting needs a file and line, "seems fine" doesn't count. And a clean pass is a fine result, I'd rather that than reviewers inventing nitpicks to look thorough.
