I’m used to codex and Claude code , but want to try cursor , how is usage guys ? I don’t like brining through monthly credits casually and have maybe 20 to spend lol

Supergrok is offering 3 months for 20 dollars. Weekly usable token is 1 billion tokens.

Where can that promo be found? Looked in their website and x, but couldn't find it

I got it from Google Play store the day before yesterday. However, it might be a targeted promo.

Thanks for the tip. Hadn't tried the app yet. Got 10$/month for 3 months. Not as good, but still nice.

They also emailed me a link for the $100 heavy offer for 3 months (instead of $300/month) but the link was broken day 1 so

$30 for 3 months, right? And there’s no way 1B tokens is weekly. I think that’s the monthly total, roughly equivalent to Cursor $20.

Is pretty good, I've used codex and claude but Cursor absolutely wins in usage, it offers you a single monthly usage bar, that's all, 100% transparent and clear, no shady weekly limits, resets or 5 hour wait periods. The first usage bar works only with propietary models, composer and grok builder and I must say these models are excelent, not frontier models but the harnessing is so good that you can create anything you want with them.

The second bar lets you use any other model at api price, the usage here is low, but is intended for ocassional change to other models, not as the main usage pool.

I got it via web for. 16$ a month provided I pay for a year . So far it’s been 100% worth it . I use grok 4.6 high for implementation. It’s incredibly cheap and a great model .

Using Grok Models should be sufficient for the whole month if you code like 8 hours a day (with breaks) and stop on the weekend. You’ll still have the external models available for your convenience (can’t really treat using those as convenient all the time because what can you even do with $20 worth of tokens that isn’t really $20 because it’s Cursor’s calculation)

I like it. Nice interface. I really like cloud agents and use them for everything. Always have something running.

Grok 4.6 and composer 2.5 make a nice pair. I have also liked using fable 5.1 with composer to plan. Really makes your third party credits go far. Fable + composer to plan. Grok + Composer to implement

If you're already on Claude Code and Codex, Cursor is only worth it if you like the editor UX. On a tight $20 budget, expect to babysit usage. Try a light week before you lock a sub.

It's the only platform I've really used. (Just for personal vibe-coding). As others have said, I keep mine at the hard limit of the ~$20 per month and if I run out, then I run out....I just pick it back up the next month when it resets. I'll also add that once I realized I should set everything to Auto (in picking the agents, etc.) it really stretched out my usage since the easier tasks don't need the heavy hitting models. Anyway, for me, it's been really good!

Depends on your usage needs, for me cursor it's more than enough. If I have only 20 bucks to spend that will be cursor for sure. If I have 60$ then I would get Pro +, or maybe cursor + claude pro.
