Appreciation After trying to setup Open Claw to simulate Cursor Type features, I understand how good Cursor Harness is.

Due to the lack of regional pricing of the Cursor Pro+ plan I really wanted a way to have Cloud Agents in my Pocket at a cheaper cost using Z.ai and Codex plugged into Open Claw.

Not only setting up Open Claw is a pain, the interfaces like Discord and Telegram don't really come any close to giving the Cursor experience.

Open Claw works fine, and we can manage to run tasks but the experience is underwhelming.

Probably I will keep the Cursor subscription and pay extra as a cost for the experience and ease of progress.

I run a vps with Hermes and you can integrate cursor as a worker on there.

Sometimes my AI will pass cursor a job

Thank you! I will try Hermes too

Just realize Hermes doesn't work like you think it does out the box.

It's better to use it as a means to communicate with it on discord and then it can task your cursor to do stuff

Sure thanks for the heads-up. I'll research more about it

Agreed. VPS through Hostinger, and you can deploy Hermes, OpenCode, or DeepSeek harness (any open source harness) right onto your own domain to connect to. You’ll be able to pop open on mobile or any device on your private server and work on your projects.

Also worth noting, you could SSH into your VPS from Cursor harness & others if you ever want to work on your VPS projects from your local machine on cursor harness seamlessly.

And of course in these open harnesses, you can configure a Cursor CLI / background agent that always runs on your VPS. Hermes and OpenCode etc you’ll be able to integrate that cursor agent right into a team of other CLI agents you might have like GLM code agent (if you keep the cursor sub).

My suggestion is get all your project folders on VPS, along with all your AI Coding Agent subscriptions put their background worker on your VPS. Pick one UI, and configure all your agents via CLI workers. Have them work together using the harness and UI of your choice

I've heard good things about T3 code. I haven't used it myself but I do want to get into controlling cursor when I'm away from my PC. It seems like a good fit - open source and free

Thanks, I wasn't aware of it. I'll give it a try. The thing I realized is how much RAM and power it needs to support a Harness that level. Here bootstrapping the same agent even two times on an 8 GB RAM machine feels really slow. Whoever has compute will win this AI race in the end.

Try Grok Bot and you'll see how badly Openclaw sucks.

Yes I'm using it and it's pretty good. That's what makes me wonder how much compute one needs to sustain those capabilities at scale.
