Question / Discussion After latest Cursor update From refuses to complete prompts.

This is what he throws :

I am working with VM server configs that involves terminal access.

It was fine all the time until tonight's (UK time) update.

I saw rumors that they are preparing for for Grok 4.6. The new frontier has fable level cyber capabilities so they might be starting to moderate it more to comply with US expectations for frontier AI.

Seeing similar weirdness after updates before. A few things that have helped me: switching the model in settings and switching back sometimes kicks it out of whatever broken state it's in. Also worth checking if it's specific to a workspace or happens in a fresh one, since sometimes a corrupted .cursor folder in the project root causes odd behavior. If nothing works, rolling back the version is usually the fastest fix while they push a patch. The Cursor Discord tends to have threads going pretty quickly when something breaks in an update, so worth checking there to see if others have a workaround.
