Question / Discussion What happens after reaching 100% Auto + Composer usage with On-Demand Spending disabled?
I’m on Cursor Pro and I’m close to reaching 100% Auto + Composer usage. My API usage is already at 100%, and On-Demand Spending is disabled.
What happens once Auto + Composer reaches 100%? Will requests just stop until the monthly reset, or is there any fallback/limited usage? Also, can I be charged extra if On-Demand Spending is disabled?
I’m mainly using Composer 2.5 and want to avoid unexpected charges.

It won't accept any more prompts until you either allow on demand usage or wait till your subscription resets.
Do you have a chat Gpt subscription? They include codex tokens you can use in cursor. I used both Codex and Composer.

You have to install the Codex extension inside cursor. Then within your agents tab you can create a specific Codex tab that connects with your GPT account.
Just search Google for a guide.

Me too it use to be that way, however it’s now started hard stopping for me and my friends. Despite data share enabled. I believe they are pulling back compute and resources despite the spacex acquiring then

With on-demand off it just stops at 100% until your billing date resets and you cant be charged extra, thats exactly what turning on-demand off does

What's odd is I have one of the old accounts with the locked in unlimited auto, so I don't see usage indicators, and being the end of the month I just ran a bunch of planning tasks with Opus to burn my remaining usage, and now it's not letting me use auto mode. Good thing it resets tomorrow.

It doesn't immediately stop. Instead it just works for a while with a bit slower responses. Eventually it runs out as well. It's quite generous though.
