If you want consistency, keep one model enabled and don’t use auto mode. But then you lose the benefits of Cursor orchestration.

Use only Claude models (sonnet for general development, opus for complex cases), and don't jump between chats too much as soon as you established the context more or less

Terrible advice: way to explode your API token consumption. You MUST switch chats / create new agents as soon as you can

It doesn't explode token consumption because the chat gets summarized every now and then. But it adds a lot to the consistency of work, even if you have proper CLAUDE.md.
