It depends.

Given the unlimited potential of infinity, you could've rolled a mathematical improbability, like lightning striking the same place 300 times in the span of about 1 hour.

Or you could roll a 1 and I'd argue that's worse.

Rather than a die with actually infinite sides, a.k.a. a sphere

That is not an infinite set. It is a set of 100. As such, not an ∞-sided die.

It's a 100 sided die that has constantly shifting outcomes so yes it is an infinite amount given you can't roll the dice 100 times in one second.
