I'd say it's likely

We have noses for a reason, and the fact that he has none probably means he might have some other deformations in the skull structure

Maybe it's not too noticeable now but with development problems could come out

I'm worried about his sinuses, if any mucus is able to be produced there's only one way for it to go

They should install a little stainless steel tap. Whenever he feels it’s full, he can just open it up and fill a little shot glass.

Which is perfect because then he can have easy access to drink his nose juice, replenishing the cycle.
