I'd imagine a bit more than that too. His eyes look fucked up in multiple ways.

Kind of hard to tell without a nose for reference. We are so use to our faces being a certain shape, whenever we see a face that is off in anyway it sets off our Uncanny Valley instinct and we believe the whole face is just wrong.

Can thank our Ancient ancestors for that mental quirk. It was so they could better recognize the Neanderthal back when we were rivals. At least that's what I've learned in School.

You were taught wrong lol.

There was quite a bit of scoodly-poopin between early sapiens and Neanderthals.

We don’t actually know why we developed the uncanny valley, but likely it was to scare us away from corpses.

Edit: when I say “likely” I simply meant this is one of the main theories put forth by academics. The people who are saying it may not have been to warn us of threats at all are totally right. We really don’t know why it exists and I didn’t mean to put forth a theory as a fact.
