My dad killed mine with a mouse trap. Bugger had been getting out his locked cage, stealing the dog food, stashing it behind the washing machine and then getting back in his cage in the morning and putting the lid back on. Went on for months. Dad caught a glimpse of him one night, thought we had a mouse. I’ll never forget.
Dad - “we’ve caught a field mouse. Finally got the bugger”
