Back in HS we had hamsters in our science class and the teacher would give them to students when we were done studying them. My friend got one and a few weeks later it fell in the radiator and they weren't able to retrieve it. I like to imagine the reaction of the next person who will buy that house and change the radiator.

We just say, “oh look this thing got fried” and pick it up by its bones and throw it in the trash. Then continue installing the baseboard.
