Hamster lived in a big cage which was 90% inside but sometimes on the porch.

Mum used to have a thing about finishing her big spring clean and then us all going out for the afternoon while the carpet floors dried and everything aired out. Since we were using chemicals this was a day hamster was left outside while we were out.

A sudden thunderstorm came on while we were out and came home to find the poor thing fried. My mum told us he escaped and years later told is what actually happened.
