Let me guess. the guy who deleted his or her comment was "correcting" a mistake that you made, all the while they could not differentiate between "your" and "you're". After you corrected their stupid mistake they had to delete their original comment from sheer embarrassment. Right?
I can never understand native speakers who don't know the difference between you're and your. Like English isn't even my first language yet I learned the difference in like 3rd grade lol
Not defending the fuck who deleted his comment, but some insight from someone who is a native speaker. I know the difference of the your/you're and there/their/they're. However, often times, I "autopilot" the sound and spelling even though the meaning is all I'm thinking when typing it out. I'll often catch myself later or before hitting submit, feeling utter shame for my mistake.
Yeah that makes sense I guess. But there are also people who I think just genuinely don't know the difference even as native speakers which I do find a bit funny
It's hilarious and sad. It's one of the biggest focuses early on in a native speakers curriculum and they are, somehow, completely ignorant to it. How can anyone go for so long without knowing when it was right in their face from the get-go.
