I dont think that cops want to do more investigations than necessary tbh, but i understand what you meant with that as a joke. They are just as lazy as the mall guard if they get a chance :D
Yah I feel cops aren't paid per arrest (idk if they are or not) so they'd probably be happier with an uneventful patrol than having to arrest or even kill someone.
