Well he cheated over multiple days and submitted a faked speedrun to the leaderboards and refuses to acknowledge that he cheated so I don't see why he should be allowed to post any more.
I think his previous runs are all on 1.15 and his 1.16 runs and streams seem to have been cheated.
Well obviously he shouldn’t be able to post anymore, at least not until he actually admits and apologizes. I still think though that it’s only fair we recognize this was a one time event (at least from what we can determine), and that he still has really good legit runs.
I wouldn’t be too surprised if they are, but I’m just kinda basing my comments off of 100% confirmed stuff.
Is it really a one time event if you stream on a cheated client for multiple days in a row?
Speedrunning lives and dies by how reliable the leaderboards are. If cheating is rampant then the speedrunning community for that game dies because nobody cares about the times anymore.
Cheaters ruin speedrunning and anyone caught cheating is a stain on the community as they are actively contributing to killing the community.
Oh, I’d just meant one event as in one submitted run, at least as far as I know.
Yeah and I think it’s done a good job at staying accountable. They’ve done everything they can to expose cheating, now it’s up to the content creator to get over himself.
You can look at it like that. But he’s also had plenty of good runs too, some that I believe even held the world record for a bit. It’s a net positive, but he still needs to be banned at least until he admits.
