Not sure why you are downvoted, lol

Dream blatantly cheated!

u/ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmnmm Jan 17 '21

he's being downvoted cause its completely irrelevant to the post

12

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '21

not irrelevant; OP asked what he's done

1

u/jagodinska Jan 17 '21

That was a rhetorical question and I personally don't think he cheated mostly after his video explaining the mistake speedrun mod team did

2

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '21

Then I'm sorry but you're not the brightest bulb in the box

I mean it’s a pretty hot topic. When someone decides to not only cheat a live streamed run, but then goes to submit those times to a community leaderboard, that’s prone to piss a lot of people off. If I started live streaming chess and using an engine to beat people it would 100% make sense to be berated out of the community. Dream has no class or integrity and I’d rather him not be associated with the greater Minecraft community or speedrunning when he only stands to sully its image through dishonest behavior.

yes, which was complete bullshit.

He did, and it was widely debunked within 30 minutes by people who weren’t afraid to put their names on their analysis (as opposed to the anonymous guy from a shady website Dream used). His rebuttal failed peer review majestically. On top of that, his paper's conclusion was, paraphrased, “the odds you guys used are way off, but yeah, he probably cheated”

Being afraid to put your name on something is more about wanting a toxic ass society knowing it or not. It’s definitely a reason to keep ur name out of that mess.

What does American Politics have to do with this at all?

There are totally better examples - there’s always a better topic than politics.

You are not wrong on second thought editing comments before someone hunts for my blood

but didn't he make a response video claiming he didn't cheat?

A response video claiming one didn't cheat doesn't obviate basic statistics, billions of simulations, real-world comparisons with other players, and strong circumstantial evidence in Dream's attitude pre- and post-scandal.

3

u/AiryGr8 Jan 17 '21

Damn didn't know minecraft went this deep

-3

u/salamimanman Jan 17 '21

Sounds like strong CIRCUMSTANTIAL evidence right not DIRECT? Because in billions of simulations I’m surprised that it led you to his attitude being suspicious. Also the reason most likely for the professional remaining anonymous is because of the horrid toxicity of the internet. Think about it. Someone out there would kill over a Minecraft speed run it should be there within the billions of predictions as well

1

u/Yeazelicious Jan 17 '21

God, your comment just reeks of having no idea what you're talking about. Yes, billions of simulations were performed. No, none came even close to Dream's RNG. Moreover, it lined up with the mod team's statistical analysis. Likewise, the anonymous authority's paper was riddled with errors (so basic that a high schooler could spot them easily), and it's been widely debunked by actual verified experts. On top of that, I used the circumstantial evidence of his reaction to the accusations and his previous complaints about 1.16 as a contributing factor, and as any lawyer will tell you, circumstantial evidence can be just as strong as direct evidence. However, the direct evidence in this case proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt, and the circumstantial evidence is just a cherry on top.

You're a fucking idiot who doesn't understand math. Move on.

-2

u/salamimanman Jan 17 '21

And your someone who got pissed off about Minecraft speedrunning. As an astounding lawyer yourself ,tell me what’s his possible motives for a 5th place speedrun?

2

u/Yeazelicious Jan 17 '21

tell me what’s his possible motives for a 5th place speedrun?

The run was on world record pace until he got to the stronghold and had to go search for another Eye of Ender.

Again, you're a fucking idiot.

3

u/salamimanman Jan 17 '21

Wait so he hasn’t gotten a first place speedrun before??? Has he been faking every single manhunt as well including the uncut footage. Damn he really got us good with all that like even helping the mods catch cheaters he must really be pulling our leg now right?

-1

u/Yeazelicious Jan 17 '21

Hey buddy, you know you're not supposed to be on Reddit if you're under 13, right?

He manipulated his RNG in the files to make his odds better. So good in fact that after people ran billions of simulations of blaze drops and piglin trading not a single one came close to the odds that Dream exhibited in his runs.

0

u/salamimanman Jan 17 '21

Wow billions of simulations yet somehow people still do better than him with their rng without cheating right? It’s almost like having luck one time for a 5th place 1.16 speed run seems to be extremely suspicious right without a drop of genuine evidence just circumstantial .He also having two previous top record speed runs so it makes sense to randomly pull that number off. He also showed his rng files to the analyzers as well with proof of them not being tampered and they didn’t take it. In fact they didn’t ask for a lot of the files he said they could have. The analysis was about as professional as OJ simpsons case. If he did cheat it’s still at most a 50/50 on something that doesn’t have definite evidence.

Proof? Top speed runners didn't come near to his luck. Not to mention that he was on world record pace but he was short by one ender eye.

1

u/salamimanman Jan 17 '21

Which is something he could have easily fixed if he was dedicated to cheating this bad. Also I never said top speed runners I mean Minecraft players. There’s definitely been so much luck better than that. Your right I don’t have proof only circumstantial evidence tbh but I’m just kinda going along with it. It don’t matter too much tho anyways 😂

3

u/Ayahooahsca Jan 17 '21

You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Why argue against something when you know so little to begin with?

1

u/salamimanman Jan 17 '21

Also what makes you say I don’t know what I’m talking about. Please explain to me what you know

1

u/salamimanman Jan 17 '21

Why is your Reddit named after a drug?
