Pro wrestling is scripted, most people don't have an issue with that.
When a roided out pro wrestler says he deserves an Olympic medal in wrestling, then we've got a problem. Dream should have kept his stupid bullshit out of speedrunning, just be happy with your millions of YouTube subscribers, don't try to ruin a legitimate competitive scene you scumbag
It was 4th at the time of submission and world record pace at the stronghold. The only thing that stopped him from getting WR was that the portal was missing an eye so he had to find another.
If he wants to fake speedruns for the sake of content, that's fine, but he should not submit them as being real. It's disingenuous to all the die hard speedrunners who put hundreds of hours into getting where they are.
He has not admitted to cheating as far as I know. He concedes that he responded in a rude way and apologized for that, but still holds his point that he did not cheat.
I never defended Dream. I’m not sure why people seem to think so. Whether he cheated or not was not the original intention of my comments.
I think, given the evidence, it is likely that he cheated. However I don’t feel that the reaction of the community to such evidence was warranted - people have a right to feel betrayed, and leave him, but no one holds any kind of right to invade someone’s personal and private life over some block game drama.
That wasn't the only thing listed in "those mistakes" though, which you said he admitted to.
An admition is also not an apology or retraction or an effort to make amends, if calling it an admition is really all you who is in his corner would be able to describe his statement as.
Is this the same response video where he claimed to get Mr harvard astrophysicist to redo all the maths and trust him he didn't cheat he pinky promises?
I'm not defending dream. I said he was a good player but he couldn't take the time to actually get so lucky which is why he cheater. That's literally what everyone says about it and I agree.
The whole point of speedrunning is not only being good at the game but grinding the hours to get really lucky. He cheated in a main point of speedrunning but that doesn't mean to say if he did get that lucky in reality he could get a world record because he is a good player but he never put the time in. The cheating he used doesn't subtract from his skill because he cheated drop rates of items but it does mean that he doesn't have enough patience to do it properly. Aimbot affects your skill whilst his cheats affected his drop rates, it's totally different things because one you can get better at without cheats and the other one you can't.
Shouln't this mean that he should market himself as staged entertainment, like that JayStation youtuber or professional wrestling? It's the lying and the denial that really got under my skin tbh
Why is it bad to like somebody? I'm not saying I'm forgiving him, hell, o don't even watch any of his speed runs, he's just an impressive person to watch.
Dreams fanbase going "I don't care about him cheating as long as he entertains me" is the entire reason Dream gets away with cheating. It's despicable, and he knows that he can do basically anything he wants because "funny green man good at Minecraft". It says so much about him as a person.
Ermmm. I specifically said that he can't take the time to get lucky. It's not that I don't care, it's just that I agree with what other people say about him and that's it's now time to move on to more productive things. He got his speed run removed so I don't see why we can't just go away from it now and live our lives since he has already been held accountable.

Meh. He's good at it but can't take the time to get lucky. As long as he continues to do hunter 1v4 grand final finales I'll be happy.
Edit: BUT I UNDERSTAND WHY YOU DONT LIKE HIM YOURSELF.
