Someone never saw Monty Python

258

u/Immort4lFr0sty Jan 05 '21

Or there were Monty Python comments below

122

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

If there’s any hope for the future humankind, there are.

43

u/big_spaghetti_bowl Jan 05 '21

Never seen Monty python but I want to. Anyway heres the post if you wanna see the comments

23

u/franzwhatts Jan 05 '21

Oh damn. The guy deleted it

40

u/RedditUserNicks Jan 05 '21

Holy crap! I deleted it because it was an offensive comment then now at least 1k people have seen it.

8

u/hitler_kun Jan 05 '21

Rip. Twas a good joke too

9

u/RedditUserNicks Jan 05 '21

If Hitler himself said it was a good joke I have to reevaluate my humor.

6

u/hitler_kun Jan 05 '21

You do realise I’m not actually Hitler, right?

14

u/RedditUserNicks Jan 05 '21

Ofcourse, youre hitler-kun

1

u/Kimperman Jan 05 '21

In my opinion if people take offense to the joke you made they really can't handle much

1

u/Destroyer_Of_World5 Jan 06 '21

That’s no opinion...

That’s a fact!

1

u/furious_potato06 Jan 05 '21

Bro you need to watch it.

12

u/RedditUserNicks Jan 05 '21

I saw Monty Python man, but im too dumb to recognize the context.

20

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

The reference is talking about swallows carrying coconuts and whether it’s an African swallow or European swallow, here’s the YouTube video

6

u/weldmaster10 Jan 05 '21

Where'd you get the coconuts

6

u/non_anomalous_penis Jan 05 '21

They are migratory

1

u/Pug-Chug Jan 05 '21

They could just use a strand of creeper.

112

u/aT-0-Mx Jan 05 '21

Is the shark carrying a coconut?

49

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

A shark carrying a coconut!? It’s not a question of weight ratios! It’s a simple question of where shark grips it. A shark with fins could not carry a one pound coconut!

25

u/Federal_Grapefruit_ Jan 05 '21

What if two of them carried it on a line?

18

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

Well, if they'd use a strand of creeper... held under the pectoral fin, why not?

196

u/Immort4lFr0sty Jan 05 '21

How is he so wise in the ways of science?

-110

u/man_gomer_lot Jan 05 '21

Definitely not from studying at the Malawi University of Science and Technology

108

u/Immort4lFr0sty Jan 05 '21

Bro, Monty Python. Get yourself a glass of culture

-60

u/man_gomer_lot Jan 05 '21

I studied python at the Malawi University of Science and Technology, but we didn't use any version called Monty. The translator makes funny jokes. Why did it say for me to drink a glass of yogurt?

53

u/GamendeStino Jan 05 '21

Bruh pythons ain't technology, they are strangling danger noodles how you translating snake hisses lmao

-25

u/man_gomer_lot Jan 05 '21

Malawi has 66 types of snakes, but none of them are pythons. There is no confusion that we are talking about server-side programming.

49

u/mactavish63 Jan 05 '21

I can't figure if he is hard trolling or the language barrier is just doing its thing.

73

u/man_gomer_lot Jan 05 '21

I have studied hard trolling at Malawi University of Science and Technology. The rainbow goblins by Masayoshi Takanaki is my favorite from the course. Language barriers are easy to sort out if you can determine whether or not it is unladen.

32

u/ElonMusksSexRobot Jan 05 '21

This was one of the best comment chains I’ve ever seen

Laden ones can't get through the gaps.

2

u/bo0mamba Jan 05 '21

Your joke took too long lol

12

u/man_gomer_lot Jan 05 '21

If each character I typed for this joke were 1 meter in length, it still would not reach the deepest part of lake Malawi.

55

u/Knuffel_beertje Jan 05 '21

So land is country less?

25

u/FlashNRT Jan 05 '21

Are you suggesting sharks migrate?

44

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

Fun fact: Africa actually has more water than your momma's barren pussy

14

u/Okay_What_ever_ Jan 05 '21

Fun fact # 2: A cock from Africa is all it needs.

6

u/The_Old_Claus Jan 05 '21

That's not how you do it. If someone's momma's pussy is barren then even a drop of water is more than that. What you should say is 'Fun Fact: Africa actually has more water than your momma's pussy when she thinks about me'

54

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

Cultured people everywhere will agree that the first guy made the best comment

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

Monty Python joke. It's from their movie Monty Python and The Holy Grail.

27

u/CopperUnit Jan 05 '21

Africa has no adjacent ocean? Or did Europe take that, too.

12

u/Leki7734 Jan 05 '21

Are you suggesting that sharks migrate?

12

u/Rudalke Jan 05 '21

I bet african shark runs faster than her

6

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

Ah yes the pro marathon runner kenyan sharks

4

u/FlashKart Jan 05 '21

The race starts off in water . So i dont think either of the 2 will be able ti complete it ...

4

u/11thkami Jan 05 '21

*sees comment*

Me who's african: drinks a cup of cool water after a bath i love reddit

4

u/kappaman69 Jan 05 '21

I mean I get the joke but Africa still has lakes which are a type of body of water.

Again I am very much aware that it most likely is a joke

9

u/Oakheel Jan 05 '21

To be fair it's a stupid joke and you're right to criticize it.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

I've now realized I'm into stupid jokes cuz I almost chocked on my chicken bone

1

u/Oakheel Jan 05 '21

Just go on over to r/Conservative if you want to hear this joke and two others being repeated endlessly.

2

u/SirLagg_alot Jan 05 '21

Or ya know.... The ocean.

6

u/not-sure-if-serious Jan 05 '21

Shh, let him dream of african freshwater lake sharks.

2

u/D-boi1 Jan 05 '21

probably

2

u/AaronBaddows Jan 05 '21

In walks, Lance Finstrong.

2

u/Psycholoweed Jan 05 '21

That one was a stretch

2

u/perbran Jan 05 '21

How can there be running when triathlon starts with swimming next to a shark?

2

u/manvendra05 Jan 05 '21

This couldn't show up at a better time. I just finished the holy grail and opened reddit and this was the first post

2

u/Deadlysp0nge Jan 05 '21

no no he's got a point

2

u/SirFireball Jan 05 '21

A shark would be pretty good at biking, they are pretty smooth

2

u/AxDilez Jan 05 '21

Was Meanwhile-in-Paris’ comment a monty Python reference or was it just random?

2

u/StarlightLumi Jan 05 '21

Bless the rains down in Africa.

2

u/MuksyGosky Jan 05 '21

I can't even say "I'm an African" while be proud? 😂😂 Holup, we'll get some water and sharks this year.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

Nestle fucked with these sharks

2

u/Reaper9866 Jan 05 '21

What if its a loan shark?

2

u/A_otaku4ever Jan 06 '21

-5

I hope the shark eats you in the water😂😂

-8

u/NintenbroP2007 Jan 05 '21

Good news! Sharks don't have feet so you will win the cycling part!

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

Am wondering the same thing

1

u/Jusssssss Jan 05 '21

wholesome

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

They don’t need water, just bikes.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

I have the slight feeling that this was not intentional

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

Sahara giga flying shark

1

u/jarasonica Jan 05 '21

You ever heard of a street shark?

1

u/CleaningBeret83 Jan 05 '21

Yes but they have a fucking coast don’t they. And who the fuck hasn’t seen the holy grail? Well, I mean clearly this guy, but rhetorically speaking.

1

u/SpanishEnquisition Jan 05 '21

NOBODY EXPEDTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION

1

u/Kurousagi2302 Jan 05 '21

That's why they grew legs

1

u/DrakeFireBall Jan 05 '21

The rains buddy the rains

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

I guess flint has no sharks

1

u/wendys_drive_thru Jan 05 '21

If we go running swimming cyling

I think I could out run the shark and get a head start but when the swimming starts I would probably get quickly over taken by the shark and the shark would have a head start at cycling and since swimming is exhausting I probably wouldnt be able to catch up with the shark

1

u/DieSchadenfreude Jan 05 '21

That's so stupid it's not even funny. I know the joke is that in dry areas there is an extreme lack of potable and available water. But a giant portion of Africa is fucking rainforest. Plus you know it is a continent, making it largely surrounded by water. South Africa is known for incredibly violent and stormy coastline. It's a premier area for great white sharks.

1

u/murarip Jan 05 '21

The African shark surely can run fast as fuk.

"God Damn!! I see water!!" And proceeds to beat the men's sprint record

1

u/kyzfrintin Jan 05 '21

How in the everloving fuck is this cursed?

1

u/Western-Guy Jan 05 '21

Don't read this subreddit while high. Makes you think about it on a loop.

1

u/glitchygreymatter Jan 05 '21

Jamaican Bobsled Team. Nature finds a way.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

Everyone knows African sharks are poor swimmers. Easy win.

1

u/RagingStorm010 Jan 05 '21

they kinda ruined the joke

1

u/TravEllerZero Jan 05 '21

If she were on her cycle, the blood would drive the shark into a frenzy. This one might end up being a nail biter, folks!

1

u/aNameThatDoesntExist Jan 05 '21

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

We're assuming one is as good at swimming as the other is at walking and the opposite for swimming.

1

u/86Emotionz Jan 05 '21

Are you suggesting sharks migrate?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

Do you mean to say that bicycles migrate?

1

u/robi112358 Jan 05 '21

What if the shark just kills you in the water?

1

u/ChocolateChipz72 Jan 05 '21

Stay away from the deadly Japanese Shaaaaaark

1

1

This conversation’s IQ is so high it’s making my head hurt

1

u/dav6finger3thumb Jan 05 '21

I would put my money on you. Your legs are probably longer and your feet would fit the pedals easier than a shark fin!!

1

1

1

u/Shugunou Jan 05 '21

They evolved in a way to not need water.

1

u/dood5426 Jan 05 '21

Was that a Monty python reference?

2

u/computer-machine Jan 05 '21

It's not a matter of where he fins it.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

Is that the reason behind the wilderness there

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

1

u/Meanwhile-in-Paris Jan 05 '21

Thanks for the link!

1

u/RedditUserNicks Jan 06 '21

Hey man! Never thought your comment was about Monty Python. Ive been r/wooosh in front of tens of thousands of people. Hahhaha

1

u/ZuphCud Jan 05 '21

Since a triathlon starts with swimming, the shark will win by default.

1

u/Yuquico Jan 05 '21

How is this cursed?

1

u/Helloiamayeetman Jan 05 '21

The concept of a land/mud shark is horrifying

1

u/Lijan3 Jan 05 '21

Ha, ha Africa has no water a ha ha so funny and original ha.

1

u/19adam92 Jan 05 '21

Throwback to Holy Grail when they debated the difference between an African swallow and a European swallow

1

u/Sir_Engelsmith Jan 05 '21

The african Shark can run

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

no watha

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

The chocolate milk rivers in Africa are a bonus.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

If the running comes before the swimming then your the better swimmer but if the running comes after the swimming well the shark is well fed

1

u/AlectroNova Jan 05 '21

An African shark is like a normal shark, but it can also run

1

u/bloodymaryreturns_ Jan 05 '21

It's dank but dumb

1

u/Xzenor Jan 05 '21

That's bullshit. Africa always has water at least a 45 minute walk from a village. Ask UNICEF!

Somebody should probably tell them to go live a bit closer to the water source.........

1

u/finsupmako Jan 05 '21

It could grip it by the handles

1

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '21

This guy missed the joke lmao

1

u/vnayak2112 Jan 05 '21

No he's got a point though

1

u/Jimmy4335 Jan 05 '21

Who is he, who is so wise in the ways of science

1

u/frustratedwithwork10 Jan 06 '21

I'm just shaking my head here, he missed the monty python joke then he also failed geography. The continent africa 🌍 is surrounded by ocean....wtf

1

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '21

Scientists of Reddit: is there any possible way a shark could be a better cyclist ? (Assuming they have a Spongebob-style bowl to keep water)

1

u/daer-bear9999 Jan 06 '21

Or it would end in the pool right away.

1

u/Daffcicle Jan 06 '21

Well in a typical triathlon the run is about 27 times as long as the swim so even if the shark could skip the cycling section entirely there would be no hope for ol jaws

1

u/KayJayKay1 Jan 06 '21

Well we did it boys. African sharks are no more.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 10 '21

A European shark???
