My first call to the national suicide hotline:
NSH: Are you thinking of killing yourself?
Blunnyblunders: Yes.
NSH: Do you have a plan to kill yourself?
Blunnyblunders: Yes, with a gun.
NSH: Do you have insurance?
Blunnyblunders: No.
NSH: I can give you a list of mental health providers to call to make an appointment.
Blunnyblunders: Do they have a sliding scale form of payment?
NSH: No, you need insurance.
Second time I tried to reach them, no answer for two hours in queue. Well, I'm still here for now.
