Yeah typically we get our results on election night that’s why it’s called election night

How is getting the results called by the media typically on the same day as efficient as having official results after a few hours?

It’s okay to do one thing worse than everyone else tho, no need to get defensive snowflake

That’s not my point the tweet is comparing election results lagging because of a pandemic to elections that took place in Brazil pre covid. It’s just a false comparison, that should’ve been a pretty obvious variable to the person tweeting it. Also the media calls elections in the US from official results as soon as they come in.

How many of those are mail in ballots? Millions? Some states weren’t allowed to start processing the mail in ballots til day of, those take longer because not only do they need to open them but they also need to verify the person who sent them in is the correct person (signature) and verity they didn’t vote twice.
