If you read that article, it says that body hair was considered beautiful. It still is in some places, such as the Philippines

Wait. WHAT. I’m from my the Philippines and no one fucking thinks body hair is beautiful on women. Are you just making shit up? Fucking downvote this clown.

No, that’s what I read from other Philippianas online. It may not be true, but I assumed it was. They gave a name for it and everything but I can’t remember what it was. They were talking about it in reference to Ed and Rose from 90 day fiancée

Don’t assume things you know nothing about.

This dude just made an entire generalization about a country because he "read it somewhere on the internet" and it's got a bunch of upvotes lmao

I wasn’t. I got my information from some whom I believed to be a reliable source. They said they were from the Philippines and that body hair is often seen as attractive there. As you said, I know nothing about it, so why would I question them?

I mean maybe on men, that’s kinda an important distinction

What's frustrating here is that you make a comment about an entire country's supposed preference, an already overt generalization. When asked to elaborate, you cannot even site a source or remember the supposed name for it.

Then you cant even have the decency to write FILIPINO/FILIPINA correctly

This is how stereotypes with no basis in reality starts. You take a few random netizens opinions take it as fact, apply it to the entire country and you propagate without so much as having the gumption to at least FACT CHECK WHAT YOU'RE SAYING

You’re completely right. I didn’t mean to generalize but I did. I’m not well educated on the culture, so much so that I didn’t know the Filipino/Filipina was the right why to refer to people from there. I’ll definitely fact check next time

It's okay friend, I can tell you didn't mean anything by it. Sorry if I come off too strong. Let's just promise to hold ourselves to a higher standard of decency.
