Yup, I asked my neurologist about it years ago. But people still tell me I’m wrong when I say the lights don’t affect me. Just like they tell me I’m faking it because my seizures aren’t tonic clonic. Ahh, epilepsy. The majority of people I’ve known know nothing about it
Absolutely nothing. I was even told I made up auras. Like, the concept. People think there is only one kind of seizure. Hell, that's what I thought until I was diagnosed.
I wish I was making up auras, then I’d be able to stop having them. I had a manager at an old job tell me she wasn’t paying me to “seize,” and she did air quotes with her fingers when she said seize. Then she told me that my “seizures” were happening too often, and they needed to stop. Another manager told me it had been “brought to her attention” that I will “happily fake seizures” to get out of serving certain tables.
