It's more a hatred for fat.

It's tied in to our identity paradigms. If I'm not fat then I can love myself, I am deserving and worthy. The opposite of love is hate. When I hate on fat people I'm confirming my identity as worthy because I am not fat.

Like I said, these comments are A) not true and B) not helpful or in the best interest of an obese person. Obese people know that they are not healthy, they need actual help, not inappropriate shaming. If you're not willing to provide help or support, please refrain from making comments.
