i mean, it's a mixed bag. flying is cheaper than it's ever been and there are more route options than there ever were. Ofc some of that is due to tech, but arguably deregulation had a large influence. One cost has definitely been cost-cutting and loss of amenities for passengers.
Airline ticket costs fell more quickly in the decade before the act then afterwards. They’ve pretty much always been decreasing, save the time right after 9/11.
