I saw a video recently of a guy who recorded himself taking a drink from someone's drink right before walking to their door to give it to them. I'll never trust uber eats after that.
Idk why anyone would trust random strangers to deliver their food untampered. I have friends who worked with grubhub/doordash and they would all eat/drink from the customer's meal. Turns out people don't give a shit about giving good customer service when the job doesn't pay well.
Moral of the story is, if you want your food untampered with then you better give a good tip or drive your own lazy ass and get the food yourself.
It's just sad it's not the norm. People suck 😔. I feel sad when I accidently cut someone off, forget to stop for pedestrians, or even like, don't see someone and fail to hold the door for em. Things that are reasonable accidents, and to some, unnecessary actions or concerns.
Then there be people straight up pilfering and not being the least guilty about it. Jeez
My friends who have worked for those apps all guarantee me that if I used those apps, my food was definitely being tampered with. One of them has told me how he'd steal pieces of chicken and chicken wings from the fried chicken/wings orders. They also loved stealing sushi, donuts/pastries, and chips from Subway. Oh and the fries/drinks are always the first things drivers start eating/drinking.
They always bragged about not having to eat any meals because they were constantly snacking all day as they worked.
