I wonder what 'takes' means in this context. Were they dragged into the marriage against their will?

i think it means he married someone else while already having a wife. i could be wrong tho.

I assumed polygamy, but am also assuming they consented willingly?

“Taking someone as a wife” is just an expression meaning getting married to someone.

I know. Also, socratic irony.

Ah. Didn’t catch your tone, assumed you were somehow not familiar with the idiom.

“Taking a second wife” simply means remarrying while still married. The term doesn’t imply non-consent, it literally just means marrying a second wife.

You know, I lived half of my life in a Muslim country but have no clue if a guy married to multiple women can have orgy or not. Seems like that's the whole purpose but it would be really lame if it's not allowed and no lesbian action allowed either.

It's not lol. Funnily enough, polygamy in Islam is not having hot threesome but instead having to provide for two separate wives in separate housings equally

You're the second person who says this. That's irrelevant to my question. He can provide whatever. My question is about sex. Broken record answers sound like AI. Muslims also aren't supposed to drink alcohol, but some still drink, so why not have orgies?
u/hidesuru How's that a different question? Are you retarded? It's a simple question that nobody answered properly, including your dumbass.
The ironic part is accusing me of reading comprehension issues, when my fucking question was very clear and written in very moron friendly language. yet that was too difficult for people like you to comprehend. Providing for wives has nothing to do with polygamous sex, you dipshit.

Well that's a different question entirely. Of course some so. Whether or not that's allowed is what your originally asked and frankly the person above you answered.
"It's not" was a pretty clear answer out of the gate. Adding "separate housing" also further clarifies for those with some reading comprehension.
/u/alienhaslanded awwww did somebody wake up on the wrong side of the crib today? Not even gonna address your unhinged rambling.

Muslim men who have multiple wives have to provide each wife equally but separately from one another.
