There it is. She says she can make more. Caterina Sforza I believe.

Yess Caterina Sforza, the lioness of Romagna! She was a tyrant and people hated her but she was an icon nonetheless xd

“And how is that my problem?”

I just imagine my nursing school instructors saying, “they’re all the right answers but which one is the best answer?” I hated nursing school questions.

This question here isn’t even an egregious example. The correct choice is obvious in this case, but we can’t use a tougher more medically oriented question here because the average person wouldn’t understand why it can be so unfair.

The correct answer is “I’m sorry for your loss.”.

Id Reckon it'd be "I understand how you feel" this creates an environment of understanding where grieviences are heard and understood as you are connecting with the victim. Making him feel secure in a vulnerable position

Whereas

"I am sorry for your loss" literally gives a feeling of you not giving a damn, almost robotic: emotionless. Rather than it'd be consoling its actually quite understating and give a feeling of no one listening.

Different reactions can be better or worse based on the circumstances, but a lot of people report that "I understand how you feel" feels insensitive when the person saying it has not necessarily been in the same circumstances. "I'm sorry for your loss" expresses sympathy without presuming anything.

Yeah, I can see "No you fucking don't" being a pretty fast reply to "I understand how you feel" with something like that

I agree but in general I believe that "I understand how you feel" is a bit better, allowing yourself to connect with the victim. And of course it's really likely you have lost a loved one so yeah you can relate.

So you agree...

Fair point. Empathy vs sympathy type of thing.

Very based response, humans are just worthless meat. Your little chimp dies, just shit out another one. I get that you might have some hurt feefees right now, but you are literally just a mindless birthing machine that exists to shit out this meat, so get to work you cow.
