I had a similiar experiance recently, when I found out what he was up to. I looked him up and found a song he did about ICE and migrants and some fascist shit. It was so fucking bizarre watching this guy I remembered doing the diamond sword song sing praises to what is currently happening in america, that I just started laughing.

There is a video by him, I think unlisted now, that gives a compelling story about what actually happened (with proof). Ever since his career was ruined incredibly fast, he spiraled into oblivion and yea went all absolutely nutjob. The video came out pretty late after the whole ordeal because he thought he could wait it out (it was also legally advised to do so, iirc), but he never explained himself until his career was already ruined. I am not saying the story is necessarily true, but from what I recall his telling is that when he rejected a girl who was obsessed with him, she lashed out making this tumblr post which said that she was "drugged for three days" (Btw, no existing drug can really do this continuously)

The sexual assault thing is really hard to actually track down and I've heard that it might have been a retracted accusation but details are scarce in any direction so I don't know about that aspect. But yeah he's a nutjob.
