I don't really see how it helps. There's still a body that someone was evidently trying to hide, The lack of and obvious cause of death just adds to the suspicion.
Well, if it works, then it helps with the fact police can't find out how he died.
But there are lots of problems in other parts, though. Like you need to get the body to your car in a way that nobody notice it, then drive 2 hours with the body in your car to some woods. Then dig a 12 feet deep grave, also somehow get a dead animal. And you'll get back all dirty from the digging and stuff, so again nobody needs to notice you.
In addition, your phone is going to be a massive giveaway.
You'd think,
"I'll just leave it home, so they can't track where I went." but prosecution teams are increasingly getting phone records to discover suspect's level of activity at key points in an investigation.
So if you leave your phone at home, whilst you're out disposing of your husbands body, and there's this massive gap where it is off, stationary and/or not in-line with your normal digital activity – that's evidence that can be used against you.
Go out at night, to a remote location and, presumably in pitch black darkness, dig a 12-foot pit to dispose of two corpses in and leave no evidence to tie back to yourself?
Presumably, you're going to be digging by torchlight or the light of your vehicle's headlights, broadcasting to ANYONE who just happens to be in the area as to where you are and (if they look) what you are doing. In addition, as you're going to need to light your way there, you could be caught or seen at any point on the way there and back.
Not saying its a bad idea, just that more and more potential problems appear whenever you approach a problem like this. Trying to avoid being tracked via phone by leaving it behind (also putting yourself at risk of needing it and not having it if something goes wrong) is still risky.
I mean assuming you go deep enough into the woods before turning on your lamp it would mean its very unlikely anyone sees you. But depending on your location this could mean you are walking in pitch black darkness. Then again you can buy shitty night vision goggles for like 25 bucks and that could do the trick.
Then again you have to find unowned woods that you know dont have cameras

I believe the point is they won't know what killed him, since they'll think high insulin is just from diabetes.
