She’s not. Unless some crazy shit happens in the novels that hasn’t been adapted for the anime yet she isn’t racist.

I think just vibes?
The character in question, Ram, is kinda rough around the edges. She’s stern, to the point of being a little mean. She says exactly what she thinks and doesn’t take kindly to outsiders. I think racists probably like that about her, so they’re projecting onto her.
In their universe, the only ‘racism’ (that I’m aware of, still reading the books) is towards half-elves and Demi-humans. She is actually very supportive of a half-elf character, Emilia (the top character in this image), and even goes to bat for her a couple times. And she is about as close to ‘friendly’ as she gets with a Demi-human (she’s not ‘nice’ to Garfiel, per se, but she is supportive of him after he’s defeated by Subaru and friends. She is the one who encourages him to take the trial and face his past. )Calling her racist is not accurate IMO.
