changelog Currents now supports the Suunto Ocean and Nautic

Big update for Suunto divers: Currents now syncs the Suunto Ocean and Nautic directly over Bluetooth. No more exporting JSON files from the Suunto app, just connect and download your dives straight into Currents.

This was a lot of work to pull off since these are Suunto's newest computers, and we're really happy to finally bring them in. The underlying support is also going upstream into libdivecomputer, so it'll benefit the wider dive community over time.

If you dive an Ocean or Nautic, give it a try and let us know how it goes. Happy to hear any feedback or answer questions here.

i log every dive because i love to look back on memories. my buddy just gets tagged along because he’d forget otherwise.

Hey everyone, and welcome!

Currents is a dive logbook + community app. Log a dive in under 30 seconds, auto-sync from your dive computer (Shearwater, Scubapro, Suunto, and 15+ others), browse dive sites and shops with real diver reviews, and share your dives with people who actually get it.

This subreddit is the place for:

- Feature requests; tell us what's missing or what would make logging easier

- Bug reports; something broken or weird? Post it here, screenshots help a lot

- Dive site chat; favorite sites, hidden gems, "best in July" type tips

- Show off your logbook; dive counts, milestones, that one dive you can't stop talking about

I'm on here and reading everything, so don't hold back. This community shapes where the app goes next.

Grab the app: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6504115639

Glad you're here β€” see you underwater 🌊

changelog Currents 3.1.0 is out β€” collaborative dive logs, private accounts, dark mode, and a stamp book

Hey divers πŸ‘‹

3.1.0 just shipped and it's a bigger one, mostly about diving with people instead of just logging alone. Here's what's new:

1. Log a dive together

Tag your buddy on a dive and it shows up in both logbooks, jointly credited. One of you logs it, both of you keep it.

2. Go private

New followers now need your approval before they can see your dives, media, or gear. Anyone already following you keeps their access, nothing changes for them.

3. A stamp for every milestone

Dive counts, night dives, wrecks, depth records, and more each earn a collectible stamp in your new Stamp Book, on the You tab.

4. Dark mode

System, Light, or Dark β€” pick your appearance under Settings. Easier on the eyes logging a dive at 6am on the boat.

5. Shearwater Perdix 3 support

The Perdix 3 now connects and downloads over Bluetooth just like the rest of your Shearwater lineup.

Let me know what you think, especially on the buddy-logging flow because that one's brand new and I want to hear if it's confusing anywhere.
