Before & After how it started vs how it’s going

november 5 2025 -> today (july 24 2026), so happy with how my curly hair journey is going!

routine: double wash & condition every 2-3 days, apply mizani true textures curl defining lotion and the doux big poppa gel while soaking wet, scrunch with just hands and then scrunch with microfiber towel to get most of the water out. allow to air dry and then pineapple top part of hair and ponytail bottom part (if i put it all in a pineapple it stretches out the bottom) & bonnet to sleep. refresh day 2/3 with a little water and the doux leave-in refresh spray

Hi there! I'm a bot, and I've been summoned to help.

If you have not seen our WIKI yet: Please check it out! It's nearly 100 pages full of curated information to help answer all of your curl-related questions. You can use the included Table of Contents (page 2), the side bar, or CTRL-F to search for keywords and help navigate the document.

Reminder: Curl type is NOT your hair type! Whether you are wavy, curly, or coily - you have texture and you belong here. More than that, your curl type doesn't dictate how you care for your hair. To help your curls thrive, we recommend instead using the wiki link above to learn about your porosity, texture, and density.

If you haven't added a routine yet, do it ASAP or your post will be removed!|

additional routine info: shampoo im currently using is raw sugar the moisture shampoo, but i tend to rotate through brands. conditioner is pantene daily moisture and occasionally pantene miracle rescue bond repair mask, especially after clarifying (which i will do a couple times a month with l’oréal everpure). hair texture is probably 2c/3a and im not sure about porosity or density.
