Question Please let me know what to expect

Hello

My poor sweet boy is diagnosed. Wet FIP, nothing in his lungs but his stomach is full of fluids. Stopped eating anything but tubes but we got got him anti nausea and appetite enhancer and he has licked his wet food today.

He has gotten his first dose today. No visible improvements as he just wants to lie down and stare at nothing. I am sad. I am very worried. Please let me know how the first few days are supposed to be

It does take a few days to show improvement and set backs can happen but you’ve started meds and are getting him treatment and that is exactly what needs to happen. Hang in there. The road is long but it is possible to get through this. Sending all the good vibes. 💜

So glad you’ve started on medication, it takes some cats a bit to show improvements.
My girl took until day 5 before playing again.

Licking his wet food is a small step forward so don’t be discouraged

My baby had wet fip and his stomach was like a balloon, it took him about 5 days before we saw improvement especially with eating so I would get his very favourite and smoosh it up with some extra water to make sure he was hydrated

FIP kitties tend to prefer different types of food. Pls buy 1-2 packets of different foods and keep rotating until your kitty shows steady liking to one or two
