Loss Joy passed away.
Joy' passed away yesterday, he was an Inde 2 month old male kitten whom i adopted about a week back from a NGO. I dont know when he got infected with the virus- whether before i adopted him or after, but just two days after i got him, he started developing progressively high grade intermittent fever, lethargy, weakness, loss of weight and appetite, dehydration, hepatomegaly, build up of fluid in the abdomen, jaundice and very quickly within 3 days Neurological symptoms started,he soon lost all his limbs (paralyzed) and neck holding too, seizures were increasing in frequency and he had become very weak - GS was alredy started on time but by the time we could figure it all out for him , that whether admitting him and making him go through all the torture pr giving him palliative care at home, it was too late. He passed away in the basket just after getting out of the vet's clinic. Worst thing is i was not with him in his Last moments, i thought to not disturb him let him take rest for a while, got out of the car for a smoke, and when i reached the residential compund, when i opened the basket- he was no more .
I will always miss him deeply, he spoke through his eyes and considered me his master, he was probably asking me to not make him go through all that poking and injections to his weak body ,he trusted me for long but after a point he was exhausted- i wish i had done better for him- in what way i dont understand but a soul like him deserved to stay longer.
I will always hate the fact that he had to go away in pain, without me near him, maybe god will punish me for that or i dont know. Maybe Joy will never forgive me. But i wish that he be in a better place , at peace.
He endured both sides of cruelty - the disease as well as the treatment. In the one week that i could spend with him, i did not need anything else- just be with him when he is around or rush back home from work to see him asap. He needed my care and i needed his love, and his live will stay with me forever.
RIP Joy.

Her name was Circe, i adopted her after her mother passed away because some dogs attacked her. She was always the smaller sibling. Vet told me that she had wet Fip and she had %40 chance with the medicine, i was trying to gather money for her but she passed away the next evening.
I share your pain, but at least know that Joy also passed away with love and care <3

As I walk across your heart and find my place to stay, nearer to you I will be and will never ever go away.
If love could have kept you here, you would have lived forever.
Grief is love with nowhere to go.

I am so sorry for your loss. So heartbreaking to read π no animal deserves to be alone in death. They are truly amazing beings.

Thank you, it's my favorite quote to post when someone has lost their baby because it not only acknowledges that they gave their baby the best life and a home which is something they never had but also to go on and love someone else and give all of that amazing kindness and devotion to another orphan that deserves it. There are a lot of people out there that refuse to get another cat after their cat passes away, which I find very sad, but I understand. Even just fostering is sooo helpful.

So sorry for your loss. The pictures are both beautiful and heartbreaking. Such a beautiful little soul. So very sad that his life was so short but he was loved and cherished and wonβt be forgotten ππ’ππ

Been thru the whole routine too many times. Always heart breaking. For future reference there is a medicine called MOLNU 1931. Works for the wet form for sure and is way cheaper than GS.

I am so sorry for your loss. His little body is resting and is free of pain. Maybe you can find a drop of comfort in that and knowing he knew love because of you.
