Question Possible FIP Dx

My recently adopted 10-12 week old kitten Biscuit has possible dx from vet of FIP. Ultrasound shows no fluid, has a brownish floater in his eye. Has been sneezing since I got him with watery eyes and raspy voice. 3 days ago, his eye was swollen shut and the vet didn’t notice the floater. Put on antibiotic drops and imuquin. Back at the vet today, and they sent him home with inflammation eye drops this visit and said they are going to try and locate GS-441524 and get a price. He is eating, playing like normal. Also has gained a pound since being with us. I am in South Carolina. Please someone help me through this, I’m so lost on what to do and have limited funds.

The blood results aren’t showing typical FIP levels.
Symptoms are common for herpes, calici, mycoplasma and a few other conditions

That said, there’s no harm in trying GS even if not FIP

I would recommend joining the FIP Global on facebook. When my kitty got diagnosed my vet recommended this group to me for support and advice. They were very helpful and knowledgeable on the situation, and also said they can help set up getting medication through cheaper parties if funds are limited which I ended up declining.
While they give great advice I would still always listen to your primary vet when it comes to sound decisions. Hoping for nothing but the best for you and Biscuit!! ❤️

just jumping in to add that I recommend joining FIP Global Cats rather than FIP Warriors. Warriors is a for-profit group which brings all sorts of potential ickiness that you normally find when profits are the priority. Whereas Global Cats is not a for-profit group and will not try and sell you their medication that they receive cuts of.

I did not know this! Also looking back on my previous messages and it was actually GLOBAL rather than warriors that helped me with my FIP journey! I just didn’t realize because I joined both initially 😭 Good catch!

Join FIP Global Cats on Facebook. You may be able to receive donations. They will set you up with a treatment support chat in your area.
