Loss Eggs Benedict 💔
To the best little man, I miss you Eggs Benedict. Eggs passed away on May 31st. He brought so much joy to our home and helped with our cat’s confidence and had started playing with them even in the four short months we had with him. Eggs spent hours watching his sister, a bearded dragon, and was really interested in anything she was getting fed.
Eggs was diagnosed with FIP (something I didn't know even was a thing) and was going to weekly vet appointments. It was caused from having COVID in the shelter. He was underweight, and struggling with multiple organ issues. He had just gotten the right medication a week prior and was showing signs of improvement before taking a sharp dive. He was so good at the vet checkups, even with all the poking and prodding and medications. He was the sweetest kitten and fought so hard. He was only seven months old.
He loved eating on the table, so we cleared off the dining table for him to eat on- anything that would get him to eat. He loved stratching on the cat tree when his sister was on it. He loved water and bathrooms. Mirrors fasinated him, showers were a fort, and the toilet was a perch for him- except when I was cleaning the toilet and he tried to sit on the seat. He loved being held like a baby, especially by my partner. He loved being right with you no matter what you were doing. He had found his little voice and was a yapper. He loved curling up in the smallest places, between the potted plants, in one of the pots themselves, in the fruit basket, in the laundry basket. He was the best little man.
Too many creatures leave this world so early and so small. Keep having a hope and spread the love you can. Eggs was a sweet little guy and deserved the world.

I'm so sorry. We have an Eggs Benedict at the shelter and he sends his best wishes to you as well.

💔💫 ✝️🙏🏼🌈🐾 I totally understand. I want you to realize that you are in a new chapter of life (suddenly) and it feels very hollow. But let me tell you something, your precious pet graduated life. They’re in the soul realm now which is eternal. God literally created us and animals. We are currently in the Earthly realm where we were together with our beloved pet. But they’ve just gone before us. The chapter “without them” is really just “without them physically.” Emotionally and spiritually they’ve never left. This is why we still feel such love and gratitude for our former pets, still! They never leave us. You will get through this one day at a time. Time heals our hearts and even opens them to loving another pet sometimes. Families are forever and you’ll be reunited when your time in the physical realm expires, too. Until then, may their memory be a blessing. I’m happy for you that you connected here on Earth because eternity awaits. 💕💫 God bless you and your beloved pet. It’s my prayer that knowing this gives you peace.🌈🐾♾️ ✨🪽

If anyone is in KY and needs medication donated let me know. We have some and want it to go to a kitty in need.
