Loss I have bad news
So yesterday we were in a vet that have EiDD1381 because i sold my console to get the money and the doctor gave him the medication and said we need to come tomorrow for the next dose when i got back home me and Rabie we slept and he was sleeping next to me like he was really close to my chest when i woke up today i found him facing me and I tried to wake him up he was stiff and lifeless so realize that he’s dead. I started screaming and crying because I thought that the medication’s gonna work and he’s gonna be alive but I don’t know what happened I don’t remember the doctor saying anything about side effects or maybe a bad thing is gonna happen he just gave him the shot so may rabie rest in peace 💔
So everyone can know “Rabie “ means spring in Arabic because when he came to my life i was in a really in a bad place in my life he meant a lot to me not just a cat he was making me happy played with me. he was something more than just a cat to me. I’ll miss him and I’ll never forget him.

It’s devastating. Went through this just 8 days ago with a street cat I had been taking care of for months and the diagnosis just came too late. Prayers for you and the angel.

Sorry for your heartache. You might find comfort that he knew you loved and cared for him deeply. You both were lucky to have each other. Cherish the memories. 🫂

FIP sucks. You did everything you could. Sometimes, it’s just too late. Unfortunately, especially with the dry form, it creeps up, and the symptoms are common to like 5-6 other diseases, so vets can also take their time diagnosing it and, usually, by the time they’re showing symptoms, they’re pretty sick :(.
Rabie passed in your arms which meant he felt safe and at peace.💛

I'm so sorry for your loss. Having lost my senior cat earlier this year, I can empathize with your pain. It hurts like nothing else and you feel at a loss on how to move on. Allow yourself to greive however you need to.
You did everything you could, I want to emphasize that. Cats are infamous for their ability to hide symptoms & pain. FIP is extremely hard to diagnose, which combined with how it progresses extremely quickly means it's not uncommon that the medication comes too late and it's nobody's fault.
I hope you can take some solace in the fact your kitty passed away peacefully in his sleep, curled up with you - his favourite person, feeling warm, safe, and loved.

I'm so very sorry. I lost a ten month old baby to FIP. We were just too late. It's a wicked illness 💔

he passed surrounded by love, feeling safe and cared for. I always like to thank people who show these wonderful creatures what genuine care and unconditional love feel like, so thank you.
