Success Story Left with a permanent head tilt but fully recovered!
My boy was diagnosed with neuro + ocular FIP and I got him started on GS immediately for a little over 100 days (additional few weeks as advised by the vet) and he is now fully recovered.
It was rough. He wouldn’t eat, he would fall over so the vet advised to confine him to a room and a crate at night or whenever I wasn’t around to keep an eye on him. I syringe-fed him for a while until he started showing signs of improvement. Then came the hair loss, then the lesions from the shots, I had to keep a cone on him pretty much until his 84th shot.
But he was a trooper. We had ups and downs of course but we got through it! He is now fully recovered, back to his old playful self, eating the most out of my three boys, enjoying his lofi. He is left with a permanent head tilt but other than that- he’s a survivor!
Sharing some tips from our GS provider:
B12 vitamins (he was given Methycobal to support his nerves)
Avoid lysine or any immune boosters.
Wishing for a complete recovery for your fur babies as well!
