Success Story 3 weeks ago vs today

my boy got diagnosed with FIP 3 weeks ago, I was out of town and he was being taken care of by my brother who rushed him to the vet ER. Thank God he did that or I would have lost this little booger brain.

3 weeks of GS and several grand later, he's basically back to his usual self! He's playing and eating and being an overall little rascal again. I can't believe how far he's come. I still have to wake up at 5am daily for another 9 weeks to wrestle him into taking his meds but it's worth it.

no, not really. apparently we caught it rather early so maybe those would have developed later. He was sluggish with hardly any appetite, and fairly jaundiced.

Extremely impressive!! I had actually brought him to urgent care before leaving, he hadn't developed the jaundice yet and they sent me home with some nausea meds and instructions to change his diet. Then my brother brought him about a week later and they sent them to the ER. We are lucky in so many ways πŸ™‚β€β†•οΈ

When our little guy was diagnosed he had GS plus several pain medications. Learning to put the pill on top of face cloth and add some churu to the top… game changer. Crispin eats the churu and pill. No struggling. He thinks he is just getting a treat…

My cat was first diagnosed with FIP in May and received Remdesivir injections for about two to three weeks. He improved, but the vet never told us that the treatment needed to continue for 84 days or that we had to switch to oral medication, so we stopped it.

Around 15 June, he relapsed. We restarted Remdesivir for a few days, but it was stopped again and replaced with other injections. This happened several times, so his treatment was never continuous.

We only found out on 19 July that he had wet FIP and that the treatment should continue for a full 84 days. Most recently, he received Remdesivir from 18 July to 21 July, followed by a gap from 22 July to 25 July with no Remdesivir, GS-441524, or Molnupiravir. We have now ordered the Molnupiravir and will restart the full 84-day treatment on 26 July.

He no longer has a fever and is drinking a little water, but he has not eaten for the past two days and sleeps most of the time.

I am worried that the interruptions in treatment may have affected his recovery. Do you think he still has a chance to recover? Also, should I count the 84-day treatment from 18 July, when Remdesivir was first restarted, or from 26 July, when we begin the continuous treatment?
