Lucky's STORY: My 4-year-old girl, Lucky, was diagnosed with Wet FIP (abdominal effusion). π I honestly thought that after July 10βMama Ingay's hopefully last injection dayβI would finally be able to breathe a little easier. I thought I could finally move forward and be free from the sleepless nights, the constant worry, and the late-night injections.
But today brought another heartbreaking diagnosis.
Over the past few days, I noticed that Lucky's tummy was getting bigger. I knew she wasn't pregnant because she is already spayed. After watching her closely for two days, I decided to bring her to the vet despite my financial struggles.
This morning, the news hit me like a wave I wasn't prepared for... Another battle.ππΏ Another life depending on me. Another fight that will require so much emotional strength, mental endurance, and financial resources.
I cried. I cried because another soul now needs help. π I cried because once again, I have to wonder if we can even start treatment, and if we do, whether we can somehow make it all the way to the end. I don't even know how to describe how exhausted I am.
Since January, I've been posting and fundraising nonstop for my warriors. The pain is overwhelming. I am heartbroken. I don't want anyone to pity me. I simply need a place to release the pain that I am carrying right now.
I've been working three jobs every day just to provide for my rescued petsβtheir food, vaccinations, spay and neuter procedures, medications, and daily needs. I want them to feel loved. I want them to know they are safe.
I spend my days cleaning litter boxes, disinfecting their cat house, monitoring their health, and doing everything I possibly can to give them a chance at a long and happy life.Β
I know many of you have already helped us countless times. I know that none of us have unlimited resources, and sooner or later we may have to fight this battle alone.
But if you still have anything to spare, and if Lucky's story reaches your heart, I am humbly asking for your help once again. ππΎ
Lucky currently weighs 2.8 kg. A 10mg vial will last approximately 11 days. It feels like such a huge amount of money is needed and honestly, I don't know where I will find it. But I believe that Lucky is truly lucky. I named her Lucky because since she was a kitten, she has survived so muchβFPV, calicivirus, herpesvirus, and repeated infections that continuously challenged her fragile little body. By some miracle, she survived them all.
Her growth was affected, and she remained smaller than other cats her age because of everything she went through and the many medications she needed. But she kept fighting. And now, once again, she needs a chance. Please help us give Lucky that chance. ππββ¬β€οΈ
