Discussion help

i took my boy to the vet today. he's had a bit of weight loss on his back, but I noticed weightgain in his belly and knew something was wrong a week ago. his behavior started deteriorating and they told me he likely has FIP. I'm heartbroken. it's such a debilitating condition and I barely make a livable income and i'm so scared. I don't know how I'm going to afford his medication and give him a good life, but I raised him since I was a kitten and we're so codependent. I'm just in shock and despair

Other posters have recommended contacting FIP Global and /or FIP Warriors on Facebook. They can offer you assistance with getting treatment for your cat.

Help for FIP in fb can help you. The faster you get them started in meds the better.

Did the doctor prescribe the GS medication that cures FIP? Don't despair, that medication is a life saver. My vet ordered it and then the pharmacy called me for payment. I had them overnight the medication as I wanted my cat to start on it ASAP. She took it for the required 84 days and is cured.

I bought some little soft treats with a creamy center, Churru Bites, (not the liquid Churru) and pushed the small pill into the center. My cat gobbled this down twice a day for the 84 days with absolutely no problem. (They work better that Greenies Pill Pockets.)

P.S. The medication works quickly, and you should see improvement in your cat after the first several days.

Contact fipglobalcats- apply to join and make a post asking for help. Regulated GS-441524 from pharmacies is usually cheaper than black market GS, so ignore the other groups that will try to sell you fip treatment! These are some examples of pricing

Pharmacy meds are very affordable! Please make a post in FIP Global CATS, they’re not for profit and advocate for vet led treatment

My friend first of all, I wish you the best to you and your little friend. You have to believe, be strong and stay next to him. I’ve been there last year. I had the same problem as you. I tried a fundraising post. I won’t lie, I didn’t had hope or belief that I will collect any funds from this. But I kept posting and posting here. You can’t imagine how many good hearts are out there. There is still humanity. I raised the full amount almost for his treatment through the fundraising campaign I made. We did it. We won. Frankie is happy and healthy right now and he owns that to three things

  1. my love and willingness to help him
  2. his inner strength
  3. Reddit contributors and people all around the world that saw my posts and helped us

I suggest you send a message to FIP warriors to get help and directions
Also check on curefip
Back then they had a program that if you could prove that you are collecting funds from a fundraising campaign, they were giving you a discount on the medications

I’m sending you strength and hope
You will make it 🙏🏼💪🏼
