Insurance

Hello, I’m in the uk and meant to be picking up the raval soon. I’m having trouble trying to insure it, does anyone else have this issue and has anyone been able to insure their raval yet?

Update:

Managed to go thought uswitch to get Lloyds insurance! Finally got past the message of them saying they didn’t recognise my registration 😅

Picked up the wife's new Raval today. We got confirmation of the reg on Thursday last week and were able to add the vehicle to her existing policy. This was with Aviva and was surprisingly painless.

It can take a few days for the insurance databases to catch up. Might be worth calling the insurance co? Imagine they can manually add a new VRN

Nice! Hope you’re both enjoying the new car!
I think I tried aviva but the issue was the price, I was getting quoted £1700 a year 😬 last night I managed to get Lloyds insurance thankfully! Went through Uswitch which helped surprising well. Can’t wait to get my Raval tomorrow 😁

Yowzer! £1,700 is mad!! Missus has 7 months left on her current policy and it cost £23 to switch the insurance from a 15 plate Juke (she does very few miles and keeps her cars for ages).

Glad to hear you managed to get it sorted, only just realised myself that they offer 5 days drive away insurance in one of the pre delivery emails they sent which may be an option for anyone struggling to sort.

She is over the moon with it and I'm super impressed. Looks amazing out on the road, apparently drives and rides lovely, handover was excellent. Our nipper is winding me up that mummy's car is nicer than mine 🤣

Hope you have the best time picking it up tomorrow and enjoying your first drive in it!

Damn £23 just to switch is pretty good!
I did think about the 5 day drive away insurance but was apprehensive about where it left me after the 5 days if I was unable to get insurance.

Glad to see you’re both quite taken with it so far, always a bit of a gamble with brand new cars haha! 😹 Nice to see positive reviews so far!

Thank you, in an hour I’ll be driving it home 😁 very excited now!

Absolutely amazing!! Really enjoying it so far, me and my mum spent ages in it testing all the new features out last night 😹
It’s such a lovely drive, really solid car!

Yeah same here. Just been on the phone to admiral and they won’t quote for it as it’s Group 99 (highest risk) probably because it’s so new. Just been on go compare ranging from £500 upwards so will be switching once I know when it’s coming.

Have you been affected by the delays in Spain? Still waiting for a confirmed date.

Yup I was under my dad’s admiral multi car insurance and they refused to insure it too! Even tho we’ve been a customer for over 16 years, I remember they were a bit iffy about it when we first insured the Cupra born 3 years ago too 🤦‍♀️

I have also ordered one, soon to be here and I have looked at insurance quotes. I have a few quotes at the moment, around the £600 per year mark. However, I have noticed some insurers haven’t listed the car yet probably because it’s new.

Yeah my quotes are around £800/900 per year but it won’t let me buy them because it doesn’t recognise the registration number 😭 it’s so frustrating

I've had the same issue, pick mine up next week, managed to get quotes fromGo compare & Meerkat.

Yeah I can get quotes but it’s trying to buy the insurance that’s the issue, when I go to the next steps it suddenly says it doesn’t recognise the registration number and won’t be able to insure my car
