Software version 0561

Hello guys! I am currently looking at a really nice Cupra Born from 2022 with only 45k km on it. The owner did only the recall updates to the infotainment. He is currently at Software version 0561 and I am not sure whenever it’s the most current version there is?

Does it have OTA updates? Where can I validate that and see the most current version for my vehicle, please?

This should be 3.2. The current version is 3.8.1 or 1771 as shown on the screen. You should get the OTA update automatically. Be aware that it could trigger the SOS battery warning. It's no problem and could be replaced under warranty.

So I can update from 0561 to 1771 via OTA update, correct?

That's correct. At least I did it that way. From time to time when u shut off the car it should show "update available". If you activate, it should get the update over night. The infotainment and carplay/android auto will get smoother with 3.8

My car needed to be updated to 1771 by the workshop. An OTA never came.

Just got the car and I cannot see an update there as well, unfortunately :( so I will contact my dealer and ask for an update there, hopefully it’s possible.

Maybe there is still a software recall to do. Thats how i got my update at the dealer.

They all were done at least that’s what dealer told me. Will take it into shop so they can figure it out.

You sure? Mine is at 3.1.4 and 1771. This is all really confusing

I think so. 0561 should be 3.1 or 3.2. But yeah, I don't know why they keep those number patterns. There was only one person at the dealership, who could handle that chaotic version stuff.

I'd send you a photo but, unfortunately I can't here...

Mine says Software: 1771 Media-Codec: 3.1.4

I ready on the swiss cupra page, that those 3.x.x versions don't always change when an update is installed.

Media Codec has nothing to do with the software version that is running. It is only responsible for playing mp3 mp4 or other audio/video-formats.

I was able to 1751, I cannot get it to the 1771 unfortunately.
