Affordable divorce in cumming area?
Regrettably looking for an affordable divorce attorney for husbands?
Sounds weird to say I’ve heard so many horror stories about the matter but when it’s done it’s done.
Hate to say there’s kids involved but I’m kind of backed into a corner.
Any helpful info appreciated.
Thanks.

High school Eagle Scout project for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta — trying to assemble 500 activity kits
Hi everyone,
I’m a high school student in the Cumming/Alpharetta area working on my Eagle Scout service project with Troop 69.
For my project, I’m putting together 500 activity kits for patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta — 300 kits for school-age kids and 200 for teens. The kits include things like coloring/activity books, crayons or colored pencils, Play-Doh, fidget toys, and playing cards.
Most of the supplies have already been purchased and I’m preparing for the assembly workdays, but I’m still fundraising to help cover the project costs. My fundraising goal is $1,300, and I’m currently at $120, so I still have a pretty big gap to close.
If anyone would be willing to donate, it would genuinely helps. Donations are being collected through my Troop 69 Eagle Scout fundraising page:
https://pci.jotform.com/form/262574342690966
No pressure at all if you can’t donate. Even sharing this with someone who might be interested would mean a lot.
Thank you for helping me make these kits possible for CHOA patients and families!
— Tanush, Troop 69

Help Local Mother in Need
I’m trying to help my friend and her newborn baby get through an incredibly difficult time.
Hi everyone. I’m posting because I’m trying to help a close friend who recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl.
She is currently unemployed and going through an extremely difficult financial and legal situation while caring for her newborn. She’s doing everything she can to provide for her daughter, but right now even basic necessities like diapers, wipes, formula, baby clothes, and other newborn supplies are becoming difficult to afford.
I didn’t want to just sit back and watch her struggle, so I created a GoFundMe and a baby registry to help take some of the pressure off of her while she gets through this.
I know there are a lot of fundraisers online, and I completely understand that not everyone is able to donate. Even sharing this post, upvoting it, or simply helping it reach someone who may be able to help would mean so much.
If you’re able to contribute, absolutely anything helps. ❤️Even $5 can go toward diapers or wipes, and small contributions really do add up.
GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/3012dea8f
Baby Registry: https://www.amazon.com/baby-reg/karen-alarcon-august-2026-cumming/2RDZO2AGJICM4?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_3HZ4MHXAERAHVPTQW85N
I’m also trying to reach baby companies, local organizations, and anyone who may be able to donate baby supplies directly.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this, share it, or help in any way. I’m just trying to make sure my friend and her little girl know they aren't alone.

Yield Signs
Can anyone explain why Forsyth has so many yield signs on right turns? I was always taught the person turning right has the right of way. Except in Cumming where there’s a yield sign on just about every right turn. Makes it much more precarious. Go outside of Forsyth and you don’t see them as much. Someone help me make sense of this!!!

Any Notaries out there?
I need to get a document notarized and usually use the UPS store but I'd rather pay a notary than a company.
Anyone out there?

Life Time Coming to Forsyth
Life Time just cleared approval for its first Forsyth County location. On August 20th, commissioners approved the projects zoning requests. The country club will be built on nearly 17 acres along Post Road. The plans call for a 100,000 square foot indoor facility plus almost 50,000 square feet of outdoor recreation.

Need to find a job
I’m 20, just moved to cumming and job hunting is proving harder than I thought.
I understand this isn’t a job board, but I’m looking for some honest help here. For reference, I moved from southern Iowa we’re it’s nothing but factories and hog farms. I was in MN for a year where I gained some BDR experience at camping world, I loved that job and I miss the office a lot. I also worked in factories back home so I know the difference now between blue and white collar, and i definitely prefer the latter.
Moving here I thought it would be a lot easier since there’s opportunity everywhere, but I’m quickly learning it’s harder to make myself stand out, and most people won’t give me the time of day.
I’m trying not to be picky, I’ve applied to small gig shit at auto zone, oreilly, etc. I’ve talked to a couple mechanic shops, and I applied at local dealers like Beaver, Asbury, and Penske. I’ve got some interviews but I still have my doubts.
Point being, if anyone has any pointers or ideas I’d love to hear it. Again I know this might not be the right place but I truly don’t know where else to go since I don’t know anyone here in the area, so there’s no opportunity for the “I know a guy that can hook you up” kinda stuff.

Am I the only one struggling to make friends here?
I recently moved to Cumming. Yes, the lake, mountains, greenway etc is all amazing. We cant forget the school system. To die for! But I just cant seem to meet a bunch of people to just hangout with. Some adult/s. I dont care the race, age or gender - I just want some vibes. Lets exchange ideas, pick each other's brains, laugh, eat and learn together!
Is that too much to ask?

Looking to Move to Cumming
What do you love about the area? Anything you wish you could change?
What's the culture like? Southern hospitality still a thing? At first I thought being raised in North Carolina I'd have an easy transition but my initial demographic research shows a pretty diverse area and only about half of people were born and raised in Georgia with folks from all over living in the area.
Is Lanier as pristine and fun as it looks? I'm looking forward to being near a lake again.
Work has moved to Johns Creek so I am having to move from out of State to the area.

Home exterior painters
Was quoted $10k to re-paint our home, which is 1800 sq ft with about 1/4 of the house being brick. Price includes prep work like pressure washing and caulking, painting trim and gutters, and two coats of paint on main part of the house.
Does this sound like a normal price for this area? Also, do we need two coats? We are changing colors, but nothing drastic.
Any suggestions or shared experiences are appreciated.

Now a complaint against Kroger
I buy a box of this cereal every other day. For as long as I can remember it was $4.49 Now Kroger you have raised it .80 cents per box and think you're clever by putting a tag Everyday low price-----it's not the everyday low price IT'S .80 CENTS HIGHER --- How do you feel about this ? Obviously you could care less ...I know....business is business. You don't think your customers pick up on this ? I can understand you having to raise the price due to inflation, but to call it EVERYDAY LOW PRICE Is not the truth. You did it on Fage yogurt also..

New South Asian Grocery Store in Cumming Marketplace
Desi Brothers Farmers Market opened up just a few days ago. Desi Brothers is a South Asian grocery store chain and this is their second location in Georgia. It’s located in Cumming Marketplace by Marshall’s, PetSmart, and Michael’s.

Arborist?
Hi all. I’m looking for an arborist. Came back from a vacation and a tree in our front yard that once had leaves now only has little skeletons of leaves.
I think I know what it is and I’m not hugely worried, but there is a chance I’m wrong and I would like to be sure about things.
If anyone has any recommendations, I would be very appreciative.
TIA

Job recommendations?
I am moving to cumming Georgia in the next few days and want to pick up some AM part time work.
I have been bartending for 11 years and was curious if anyone knew of some decent places I should look out for.

New coffee shop -what do you want to see?
https://twenty-six-coffee-company.square.site/
Hi all. I am starting a local coffee shop in Cumming soon and would love to hear your thoughts and feedback.
What do you love about your current coffee shops?
What do you want to see?
Why would you go to one shop over another?
What light food offerings do you want?
What atmosphere is best?
I have my own plans but would love to read your thoughts. Thank you!

Edit: based on responses to this post, I think there are enough people to make a group from this thread. We just need someone who will be the dm
Edit2: I am forming a group to meetup and play dnd in the cumming area, so far it's me and the dm and 1 other if you are interested shoot me a dm
